Two weeks ago tonight my dad died while sleeping on my living room couch. The next morning I found him. He was only 43 years old and seemingly very healthy. This is the first person close to me who has died unexpectedly in my life, and it is very hard. However, I know my dad would want me to go on to be happy and successful, so I will honor him by trying to do that.

What I realize through all of this is that all we have control over is today. Did I love enough? Did I make a difference?…
