Were a surfin' family so we keep the Hawaiian islands close to our hearts! : ) We live in northern Cal.-close to the Oregon border but just 20 miles from the ocean. The water is cold as heck out here but it doesn't keep us out. Have you lived on the Big Island before? My dad lived on Kauai for many years while I was growing up and it was AWESOME! My husband lived on the Big Island when he was in his teens and he absolutely loves it there!! Well anyway, I'm not sure how we all got on the Hawaii topic with you-I guess from your dream of the ecotourism retreat there... Sounds good to me-sign us up! At any rate, I hope you're having a great week and I look forward to being your friend!! : )

I lived in Kailua-Kona and worked in Waimea at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Yep. It is SO Beautiful there! I miss the ocean and the ancient sea turtles. Not so much the vog, though:) I heard it was really intense this year.
